There are many benefits of residency programs, including enhanced patient care and leadership skills. If you're considering post-graduate training to amplify your health care degree, CPS proudly supports several pharmacy residency programs.
Residents enrolled in a CPS-supported, ASHP-accredited residency program learn to demonstrate professional leadership and develop lifelong learning and self-assessment skills that can then be applied in future practice settings and professional endeavors. Through didactic coursework and clinical rotations, residents will grow beyond entry-level professional clinical and operational competence, setting them up for long-term career success.

Through didactic coursework, residents will be exposed to various clinical ambulatory, quality, leadership, medication use evaluations, and management experiences.
Residents will complete 12 months of full-time required management and selected clinical and elective rotations. They will also complete a research project under the supervision of preceptors from CPS and faculty members of the College of Pharmacy. This project will be presented at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting (MCM) and the Great Lakes Pharmacy Residency Conference (GLPRC).
